Devine Dance Company is a production entity established in 2006
built around the artistic work of director and choreographer James
Devine.
Integrating Irish culture within its choreography Devine Dance
Company devises dance theatre productions that blends the traditions
and rhythms of Irish dance, Tap dancing and sound to present unique
and exhilarating stage projects that are accessible to a broad audience.
Devine Dance Company presents two productions to dazzle and entertain
audiences worldwide.
The award-winning TAPEIRE:
Driven By Rhythm combines breakneck tap dancing with hip-hop,
jazz and punk interpretations of traditional Celtic music, tribal
rhythms, fiddle, percussion, electric harp and video projections,
to celebrate the past, present and future of Irish dance, and the critically acclaimed CELTIC TAP: An Evening with James Devine
a thrilling mix of tap, step dance and urban rhythms, embracing
musical genres, from Scottish, Irish & Cape Breton to jazz,
funk and classical music; with violin, viola, cajon and hand drums.

emerged as a multi-talented leader in the percussive dance world.
Certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as The Fastest
Dancer in the World, Devine clocks in at an astounding 38
taps per second to create a whole new kind of theatrical experience
in his latest production Tapeire - an electrifying 75-minute collection
of raw, fresh and invigorating energy and talent.
A master Irish dancer and performer, it is Devine's unique style
of "Celtic Tap", a fusion of Irish dance with Rhythm Tap
that has earned him critical acclaim worldwide.
